It is 5:30 P.M. as I post this photo; it is 97 degrees. This just isn’t right. There is no sign of fall here in the Central Valley of Northern California, and it may take a while to get here.
The photo above? A bucket of faux fall branches for sale I spotted in the entry of the local grocery store this afternoon.

Faux Fall – like that. At 97F it’s way to hot for fall. Here, today, which is now late October we had the most glorious fall day – about 75F, no humidity, no bugs, beautiful sun shinng on the last of the fall colour – MY kind of weather. I love the fall.
Thanks, Lynne. Glad you stopped in. That post was end September; since then, we’ve had cooler weather, a spike back up, then down, and now this weekend we’re heading back up, but not so much! I’m getting dizzy, and just take each day as it comes
I like fall when it’s fall – our summers have been getting hotter and hotter so I really look forward to the fall.
It’s the season I enjoy most, so when it finally gets here I shall bask in its loveliness.
cool photo – love the texture of it.
Thanks! I liked the branches against that plastered wall. Ah…the wonders of Safeway.
Saw on the news yesterday that CA was experiencing a heat wave.. Some places topping 100 degrees.. At least now you have something inside your home that may remind you of Autumn. Just don’t go outside
Really! My daily walks aren’t happening….too hot, even after the sun goes down. 100 again today
