I’m participating in a BootsnAll 30 Days of Indie Travel project. http://www.bootsnall.com/articles/11-11/goals-day-1-of-30-days-of-indie-travel-project.
The prompt today:
Prompt #3: Music
“Music and travel memories often go hand in hand. A song can inspire our explorations, or it can take us back to a specific place and time”.
One of the BootsnAll coordinators writes today about being in Berlin for an Oktoberfest, and at one point everyone singing Country Roads. I had to laugh when I read this and watched her video. Country Roads is one of my favorite songs, but the Hawaiian version sung by Iz. Playing this song full blast on the car CD player, and driving down the country roads where I live absolutely takes me back to some of the drives we’ve taken on country roads in Hawaii.

Thanks for the pingback!
Nice image and man that looks like fun
Thanks. Hawaii is always wonderful.
“Country Road,” is a beautiful and nostalgic song. Just reading your post and imagining the song being played in the background reminded me of the home I grew up with. Just like you, I grew up around tropical climate, and lush vegetation with people that looked always sunny like rays of the warm , Island sun. lovely photo of you place in Hawaii. There was a time I wanted to relocate there , it is closer to the Philippines and has a lot of amazing beaches. God bless you and your family always…
Thanks IT. So great to drive down country roads with the car windows down and the wind blowing around you, and the sun shining down; and when there is an ocean on one side of the road….mo’ bettah!
