Foreclosure, Day 150; The Pot Gets Stirred

Yesterday and today were active days in the foreclosure process for us. We hadn’t heard anything from anyone in awhile. Yesterday’s mail brought us a notice from Quality Loan Service letting us know that there was a substitution of Trustee and they are now it.  Interesting factoids about who the original Trustors were (my husband and I) and who the original Trustee was and who the original Beneficiary was. Interesting legalese and helpful explanations: “Whenever the context hereof so requires, the masculine gender includes the feminine and/or neuter, and the singular number includes the plural”.  Seriously, neuter?

Today my husband gets a call on his cell phone from EMC, the second note holder trying to intimidate and advised there would be a “charge off” and it would go to collections.

The husband and I are both churning and turn to our previous neighbors and friends, who went through this process a year ago, to ask for advice and words of wisdom; they are the pioneers who forged the trail for us. E-mails fly back and forth, we feel better.

Day 150….50 more days until our “redemption” period is over and the house will be completely foreclosed on and hopefully whisked off to the court steps for auction. You can just pin a big red F on my shirt (the F for foreclosure dear friends who may have another word in mind).

Information from the neighbor friends that is extremely useful:
